Kerry Chappell, 29 year-old community dance worker based in London, has been awarded £646 to travel to Salvador, Brazil, to present a paper on nurturing creativity in late primary age dance education at the international daCi conference.    report

 

John Clifford, 49 year-old Junior Morris administrator located in Bristol, has been awarded £215 to travel to Sardinia to visit the 2003 Europeade Dance Festival prior to taking a youth team in 2004, and inviting the festival to England for 2008. report

 

Mark Elie, 41 year-old Artistic Director of a dance foundation in London, has been awarded £480 to travel to New York City in response to an invitation to research outreach projects with the Dance Theatre of Harlem.    report

 

Barry Ganberg, 46 year-old composer and dance accompanist based in Swindon, has been awarded £700 to travel to Lima in Peru to research Peruvian music and its relationship to dance.  report

 

Magdalen Gorringe, 30 year-old self employed education and community dance worker based in London, has been awarded £580 to travel to Chennai, Talminadu in India to work for three months with dancer/choreographer Chandralekha (Bharata Natyam).  unable to take up scholarship

 

Victoria Hainsby, 27 year-old dance lecturer and Artistic Director of Hertfordshire Youth Dance Company, has been awarded £600 to travel to New York City to spend nine months on the professional studies programme at Limon Institute.

Catherine Hawkins, 36 year-old independent dance artist based in Lancashire, has been awarded £275 to travel to New York City and Massachusetts to attend a three-week intensive training in contact improvisation, and two weeks at the Susan Klein School.  report

 

Julie Hynes, 37 year-old Irish dance teacher living in Pembrokeshire, has been awarded £329 to make two visits to Ireland to attend Irish dance workshops, and take a teachers' qualification.  report

 

Miriam King, 43 year-old performer and choreographer based in Brighton, has been awarded £500 to make four visits to Cork, Ireland, to undertake a residency at the Institute for Choreography and Dance.  report

 

Niklas Laustiola, 27 year-old dancer from Sweden living in London, has been awarded £395 to travel to New York City to spend four weeks studying at the Cunningham Studio and with Trisha Brown.  report

 

Rita Marcalo, 30 year-old dance artist from Portugal based in Leeds, has been awarded £250 to travel to Bristol to present choreographic research at the National PARIP conference.  unable to take up scholarship

 

Marian McHugh, 41 year-old drama and movement therapist based in London, has been awarded £530 to travel to Kerala, India, for a one-month teacher training course in Sivananda yoga.   report

 

Alan Miller, 28 year-old dancer based in London, has been awarded £490 to travel to Jamaica to do research and make contacts for performance and educational exchanges.   report

 

Nicolia Morris, 21 year-old Flamenco dancer living in London, has been awarded £210 to travel to Madrid to attend Flamenco classes at El Amor de Dios.

Matthew Morris, 33 year-old Australian dancer based in London, has been awarded £275 to travel to New York City to spend a month visiting different companies and developing his photographic work.   report
