Advice to Applicants
The aim of this small charity is to provide financial support to individuals who wish to travel abroad or in the United Kingdom to attend a conference, to pursue a research project or undertake a short course of study in the field of movement or dance.
LUTSF supports individuals working in all areas of movement and dance wishing to travel in order to enrich their practice and their broader lives through new experiences. Applications are welcomed from choreographers, performers, lecturers, teachers, writers, therapists, administrators and related professionals, irrespective of age, nationality and previous training. The average Scholarship over the last few years has been £500, with a couple of rare exceptions of £1,000.
Selection
Lisa Ullmann was an inspiration to those who knew her or who came into contact with her work. It is her vivacity, passion, energy and integrity that motivate the committee to continue her work by selecting movement and dance practitioners to further or celebrate their own practice by making a journey.
Successful applicants will have convinced the committee of the importance of their journey and what it means to them to undertake it at this time.
The impact of the journey both personally and/or for the wider dance community will also be considered.
Each application is considered according to its merit and the decision of the administrators of the LUTSF is final.
