2.  Retiring members

Pam Anderton (Treasurer) finished her 5-year term of office and Nelson Fernandez and Tim Tubbs finished their 3-year terms of office. Judith Chapman, Tina Cockett and Jennifer Jackson finished their year of co-option.

3.  New Committee members

There were four new committee members: Julia Carruthers, Jane Hackett, Tamara McLorg and Jan Murray. Judith Chapman was re-elected to the committee.   Pam Anderton was co-opted as acting treasurer and Tim Tubbs was co-opted as a management committee member.

Administration of awards

1.  No significant changes have been made to the way in which the awards are administered.

Selection Procedure

1.  No significant changes have been made to the underlying criteria for selection or the selection process.

Publicity .

1. In May a press release and list of recipients were sent to 85 journals, critics and national dance organisations, agencies and associations.

2. In the autumn 366 small posters and 171 press releases were mailed. 

3. The National Independent Dance Artists Network set up by DanceUK was used to publicise LUTSF.

4. A LUTSF web site was set up and the address sent to Dance organisations.

Finances

1. The accounts for the year ending 31 March 2000 show that all expenditure was within budget.  Once again our use of a travel agent led to a saving.  As a result income was exceeded by expenditure by £4981 as opposed to the £5559 budgeted.  It is our policy to spend capital that we are given and so, as there is enough capital to continue at the present level of spending for a number of years, the charity normally proposes deficit budgets (of around £6,000 per annum).

2. Once again committee members have borne much of the administrative cost themselves.

3. We have received donations through Gift Aid of £1,500 including a gift of £1,000 from    Gillian Lynne and we are grateful for the continuing support from the Linbury Trust (£5,000 over 3 years).  We were delighted to receive an unexpected donation of £2,500 from Guildford Academic associates and over £500 given in memory of Joan Leedham Green, a long time supporter of the fund. Further income is received from covenants set up in 1997 and some cash donations.
